EU: new sanctions against the Syrian regime

Today in the Official Journal of the European Union the Council of the European Union unveiled the latest sanctions against the Syrian regime. In this latest move Regulation (EU) No 442/2011 was further amended adding the Commercial Bank of Syria to the so called sanction list. The following information was made availabe in the Official Journal:

Entities

1. Commercial Bank of Syria

State-owned bank providing financial support to the regime.

— Damascus Branch, P.O. Box 2231, Moawiya St., Damascus, Syria;- P.O. Box 933, Yousef Azmeh Square, Damascus, Syria;
